A gentle rhythm for your week: a short reading, a verse from Scripture, and a question to carry into your quiet time.
Today · Sunday, October 11
Come Rest
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Jesus does not ask you to set every burden in order before coming to Him. He invites you near while your hands are still full and your heart is still weary. Today, let a quiet pause become a simple prayer: Lord, here I am, with all I carry. His invitation is personal, and His promise of rest rests on His faithfulness, not your ability to hold everything together.
Reflect: What burden would you like to bring to Jesus as you pause with Him today?
A Week of Pause
Sunday
Rest
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Jesus does not ask you to arrive rested. He invites you to come weary. Today, bring Him the heaviness you've been carrying and let His presence be your first place of rest.
Reflect: What burden have I been carrying that I can hand to Jesus today?
Monday
Stillness
“Be still, and know that I am God.”
Stillness is not the absence of activity, but the presence of trust. As a new week begins, pause before you rush. Let your first breath belong to Him.
Reflect: Where do I need to slow down and remember that God is in control?
Tuesday
Listening
“And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.”
God often speaks softly. In the noise of the day, make a little room for quiet so you can hear the gentle whisper of His love.
Reflect: What might God be gently saying to me in this season?
Wednesday
Peace
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Halfway through the week, worry can creep in. Trade each anxious thought for a simple prayer, and let His peace stand guard over your heart.
Reflect: What worry can I turn into a prayer right now?
Thursday
Abiding
“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.”
Fruitfulness flows from connection, not striving. Today, stay close to the Vine. Return to Him in small moments throughout your day.
Reflect: How can I stay connected to Jesus in the ordinary moments of today?
Friday
Healing
“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”
No hurt is hidden from Him. The Lord tenderly binds what is broken. Let Him meet you in the places that still ache.
Reflect: What wound would I like to invite God to heal?
Saturday
Renewal
“It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
Whatever this week held, His mercy meets you fresh. Look back with grace and forward with hope.
Reflect: Where have I seen God's faithfulness this week?
